Today we’re featuring an inspiring success story of Lizette from the Philippines who recently got 93 (R20, L23, S27, W23) on the TOEFL iBT. Lizette contacted us after 6 unsuccessful attempts to achieve the TOEFL speaking score of 26. She needed that score to reach her dream of becoming a licensed nurse in the US.
She had 6 hours of lessons with our certified TOEFL teacher Sherlen, in which they focused on the Reading and Speaking section specifically. In addition to that, Lizette was studying with the Advanced Speaking Guide, Right Notes and our digital version of the Delta’s Key to the TOEFL iBT.
Please see her unedited story below:
“First of all I want to take my hats off to teacher Sherlen for her patience and effective guidance during my review. Here is my story…
After trying several (around 6) TOEFL online review courses, I finally found ESA. The Nursing commission in the state of Washington requires me to have a TOEFL speaking score of 26, and I got it. It took only 1 test. On top of that I was in my first trimester of pregnancy; I was having frequent nausea and dry heaving. The dilemma on the day of the test was, taking the test with or without having anti-nausea medication which always makes me sleepy. I passed the test without the anti-nausea medication and got a speaking score of 27. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all ESA team, especially my teacher Sherlen and of course Jaime Miller in providing consistent support throughout the review.”
Congratulations Lizette!
